I can help you build this kind of community right where you are.

You don’t have to move to a new city, or wait for your kids to get older, or build community once you’ve retired…

I teach people how to make these kinds of inclusive communities tangible realities in their lives and I’ll let you in on how simple the work really is…

you just have to show up.

Show up even if you’ve never done it before and don’t know where to start.

Show up even when meeting people feels awkward.

Show up even though it feels easier to act like you don’t need help… even though we ALL do.

The secret to long lasting, heart opening, life-changing community is…

showing up.

I write stories and sermons that help you imagine a life supported by thriving relationships, grounded in resilient faith, and celebrating the fullness of your identity.

I know it can be really hard to find the community you’re looking for…

  • One where you can share your doubts and you’ll be met with compassion instead of empty, easy answers.

  • One where you can ask people to help you move on a Friday night and too many people sign up to help instead of trying to load a U-haul on your own.

  • One where someone drops off caldo on your doorstep instead of you struggling to cook when you’re sick.

Showing up is worth the work… especially when we do it together.

hello, i’m ashlee

I’m an Author, Pastor, and Mentor — I’m dedicated to sharing inclusive stories that bring people together in a world where it’s easy to grow apart.

I grew up across the globe, born to a Peruvian mama and Canadian dad in Niamey, Niger — I lived in Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, Mali, Chad, Malawi, South Africa, Germany, and Canada… so far.

I have a track record of building community wherever I live and teaching others to do the same.

I tell stories about rich, deep, connected communities
and I teach people how to build them.

you are welcome here, just as you are
